| This project included revamping nine blocks of the City of Santa Barbara's downtown main street. The new streetscape features new brick paver sidewalks and crosswalks; street trees, landscaping and irrigation, a holiday lighting system, benches, fountains, pergolas and other amenities. Penfield & Smith prepared the topographic mapping; preliminary and final plans, specifications, and cost estimates; and construction phase services. The first phase of this project received an American Public Works Association 2001 Project of the Year award and Santa Barbara Beautiful Inc.'s 2001 Project of the Year award. |
