As a full service firm, our surveying staff regularly interacts with design engineers, construction managers, and inspectors in the completion of projects. This ongoing interaction results in time efficient services with the highest levels of quality control Penfield & Smith utilizes the latest computer systems for surveying computations, analysis and drafting. Office workstations are data linked through a company-wide Local Area Network, which allows drawings and data to be easily referenced for maximum efficiency and product quality between all three of our offices. Penfield & Smith dispatches its field survey crews in fully equipped four-wheel drive all-terrain vehicles. Field crews utilize Geodimeter/Trimble Robotic total stations and Wild electronic leveling survey instruments capable of maximum speed and precision. TDS-Ranger data collectors collect field measurements in order to eliminate recording error. Penfield & Smith utilizes Trimble 4800 system RTK receivers and Trimble 4700/4800 system receivers, capable of performing all types of GPS surveying methods. |
