Penfield & Smith has a long history of providing engineering services for airport improvement projects. In 1958 we began work on the first Master Plan for the Santa Barbara Airport. Over the years, our services have included planning, grant application preparation and negotiation, engineering design, surveying, and construction administration activities. Penfield & Smith has expertise in both reconstruction and new construction of airport facilities, from planning to completion, of runways, heliports, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, parking lots, access roads, and airport utilities.
