PENFIELD & SMITH OFFERS ASSISTANCE TO TEA FIRE VICTIMS
Penfield & Smith wishes to express sincere sympathy for the many victims of the recent Tea Fire. The loss of property and emotional stress caused by such an event is immeasurable.
In an effort to assist the Tea Fire victims, Penfield & Smith will provide the following pro-bono services to victims of the Tea Fire and their architects:
· At an initial meeting, provide consultation on the rebuilding process.
· Provide public record topographic and boundary information that may be available in the P&S archives.
· Conduct a field visit to identify issues of concern, such as erosion, utilities, access, etc.
· Prepare a detailed fee proposal for civil engineering and land surveying services that will be required for the reconstruction of property in the Tea Fire area.
Separately, Penfield & Smith is in the process of securing an aerial flight to allow for detailed topographic mapping of the Tea Fire burn area. This will enable a rapid turnaround of design level topography for properties within the burn area. This information will be needed for all site plan submittals to the permitting authorities and will help expedite the submittal process. In addition, the cost for the product will be minimized by having the panels set and the flight done for the whole area at one time.
