In early 2008, Penfield & Smith entered a competition for the “Best Places to Work” on the Central Coast of California. The competition was sponsored by publisher of the Pacific Coast Business Times. The region covered by the competition was Santa Barbara County, San Luis Obispo County and Ventura County. Approximately 70 firms participated in the competition. Penfield & Smith was determined to be the second best place to work in the mid-sized firm classification.
