The National Engineer's Week committee of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties recently held their annual banquet, attended by over 300 engineers and guests, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA. Numerous projects and engineers were honored. Tom Wolfington, of Penfield & Smith received the "ENGINEER OF THE YEAR" award by the local chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Of his many projects, the recently opened City of Camarillo Public Library on Las Posas Road, was selected as the Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association (APWA).
Penfield & Smith is located in Camarillo and recently completed 60 years of business in the Tri-County areas. They specialize in civil engineering, land surveying, planning, and construction management.
